Preliminary Evaluation and Assessment

RAS provides a full array of Preliminary Evaluation Services and Testing for the air conditioning system, and indoor air quality. Following the observation of the mechanical system and its interactions with the envelope and exterior environment, RAS provides an inspection report. If required or requested, Indoor air quality readings will be included along with results of Lab Testing of finishing materials.

A full package of Construction Documents required for the contractors to bid, and submittal with the permit application. This packages usually consists of specifications, signed and sealed detailed mechanical and building Drawings of proposed air conditioning system and ancillary systems, cooling load and airflow distribution calculations.

During this phase RAS oversees the actual installation of the air conditioning System and provides Quality Control of the process being able to make immediate decision on any unforeseen condition. Upon completion of the System installation RAS may provide all the necessary commissioning and Testing Services to insure that the system is performing in accordance to manufacturer's recommendations and satisfies all the design criteria requirements, such as; Airflow distribution, temperature, humidity, noise level in the ductwork, air leak testing in the ducts, pressurization of the building to search for cooling leaks thru the envelope.

After construction is complete, RAS will save the testing data on a performance Data Base, the records will be available for the owner in case of dispute about warranty performance and insurance claim proceedings.
