In coastal areas, buildings are exposed to salty water spray that is very corrosive to metal surfaces. Poor adherence of the coatings on windows, shutters, and doors will lead to paint peeling-off leading to exposure of the metal parts to air contaminants, and salty water spray. Therefore, it is essential to keep the coating well adhered to the metal surface. Deformable and elastic painting on metal leads to cracks and discoloration. Elasticity and Resistance to deformation are part of the key physical properties required in coatings of sheet metal surfaces. Results are compared against standard performances.
