Alkali Silica Reaction Testing

The chemical reaction of Alkali Silica reduces the strength of the concrete and develops irregular cracking patterns. By identifying the presence of alkali-silica reaction in its early stages, it will facilitate the selection of the proper remediation technique to repair the already damaged areas, and prevent the propagation of this deficiency to the rest of the structure. This chemical testing is used to determine if active reactions between aggregates with high-alkali content in dry cement Portland exist.
