Dry Concrete Strength Testing
|
Strength of the concrete can not only be negatively affected by improper original mix of fresh concrete when it is placed, but also during its lifespan. Environment contaminants, operation and deferred maintenance reduce the strength of the concrete. Corrosion of the steel reinforcing inside of the concrete as well as harmful chemicals reacting with the cement reduces the strength of the structural members significantly. A strength testing of dry concrete on site will provide the strength to compare with specifications, provide data for retrofitting, or code compliance requirements.
