Microcraking or minor cuts on the membrane are enough for water penetration into the insulation. High content of moisture in the insulation is deleterious not only for the deck material, but also for the bonding of the membrane. Scanning the membrane with the infrared thermal imaging and impedance system will give us information about roof areas with trapped moisture within the roof system.
