The leakage of cooling tower chemicals through concrete is one of the most troubling dysfunctions and causes of deterioration. Excessive moisture in the concrete conducts to changes in volume, and as consequence shrinkage cracking. Identifying excessive moisture will facilitate the selection of proper remediation technique to repair the already damaged areas, and prevent the propagation of this deficiency to the rest of the structure. The Moisture Encounter is a non destructive meter that operates by means of an impedance measurement.. Test will be based on protocol from the American Society of Testing Materials.
