Cooling Tower Enclosure Concrete Chlorides Content Testing
|
Reinforced masonry walls enclosing the cooling tower are subject to chemicals spray. Capillary suction and evaporation of saline and chlorides causes saturation and crystallization in the concrete mortar. Chloride is one of the two main causes of steel reinforcing corrosion. The determination of the chloride ion concentration is essential to specify the materials for remediation. Chlorides Testing will determine the presence of chlorides on the cooling tower enclosure.
