Garage Concrete Air Content Testing
Excessive air in the concrete mix will reduce the final strength of the concrete on the Garage elements. On the other hand, not enough air in concrete subject to freezing and thawing will result in scaling, and or spalling, reducing the durability of the concrete. The Standard Test Method for Air Content of Freshly Mixed Concrete by the Volumetric Method will determine the untrained and entrapped air voids in the concrete. Results will be evaluated based and compared to acceptable levels. The test during concrete placing is performed in accordance to the American Society of Testing Materials.
