Painting substrate abrasive chlorides testing
Abrasive Chlorides deposited on a surface by contaminated abrasive during blasting can cause a coating to fail prematurely. Surface contamination from chlorides lead to blistering of coatings. Contamination can built up, particularly if the blast media is recycled several times. Testing of the surface during application will ensure that the chloride carried over the abrasive process was removed.
