Painting Substrate Salt Chlorides Testing

Salt Chlorides deposited on the surface is a common deleterious condition in coastal buildings. Salt deposited on the surface before applying the first coat of painting would result in the coating system being forced off the surface by corrosion or blistering before the full life of the coating has been reached. Testing of the surface will ensure that the chlorides were removed.
