Planters Protective Barrier Chemical Testing
Protective Barriers of the masonry at basement level are subject to groundwater intrusion. Deleterious conditions at those areas lead to code compliance violations, contaminants penetration in the building, and expensive structural repairs. The quality of the concrete near the surface will influence the performance of the waterproofing system. The existing barrier material must be resistant to deterioration and degradation by the chemicals, and must resist the diffusion or permeation of hydrochloric acids. Chemical Testing conforming to American Society of Testing Materials will be performed at three critical locations.
