Pool Deck Visual Inspection

Visual inspection of the pool deck, including planters, expansion joints, railings, means of drainage, deck waterproofing, sealants, code compliance, and life safety issues. The inspection will include structural and waterproofing items showing partial degree of distress to determine possible causes, and remediation. Causes of concrete and waterproofing defects may be included in the chemistry of the materials, electrochemical currents, stress levels due to environmental and operational loads. The visual observation may not allow to evaluate the causes, and will not discover deficiencies in progress underneath the surface, because of the intrinsic limitation of the human vision. Additional non-destructive spot tests will give more information about the nature of the deficiencies to specify the proper repairs procedure to increase durability of the repairs.
