Structure Concrete Chlorides Content Testing
Chloride is one of the two main causes of steel reinforcing corrosion. Chlorides may be introduced deliberately as accelerator during original construction, in the form of natural ingredients, or by natural exposure to salty water environment. The determination of the chloride ion concentration is essential to specify the materials for remediation. Chlorides Content in Concrete Testing conforming to American Society of Testing Materials ASTM C1218 Standard . Three cores will be extracted at critical locations and tested in the laboratory. A sample number will be labeled onsite and correlated with locations on the sketch. A laboratory report will be signed and sealed by a Licensed Professional Engineer.
