Tie-Backs Load Testing
A Tie-Back Load testing is performed by applying an increasing load to obtain an indication of the capacity of the system to carry the load safely. The maximum load will be based on the Design Criteria, OSHA safety ruling, or the applicable Building Code requirement. The load will be applied at 100-lb intervals, and deflection or movement will be measured with a sensor. If the tie-back movement reaches the maximum allowed by code, the corresponding load will be reported, and test will stop at that load. If the tie-back doesn't move after reaching the required load, the test will stop, and a stamp will be applied to the tie-back stating the maximum tested load
