hvac systems

Before closing the construction project and before acceptance, measurement, testing and verification of several systems may be conducted in accordance to specifications or energy code requirements as applicable:

Among them, HVAC air handlers, chillers, condensers, boilers and pumping. The air handling system includes outdoor air intake, fan casing, economizer and mixed air, filtration, preheat, cooling, humidification, fans and drives, distribution, terminal equipment, return, relief and exhaust, scrubbers and management and control of smoke and fire and pressurization.

Functional testing of lighting involves illuminance and luminance measurements. The purpose may be validate design calculations, isolate apparent differences between and expected and observed luminance, complete a post-occupancy evaluation, provide a benchmark for renovation or expansion, determine compliance with codes or reveal the need for maintenance, modification or replacement.
