Building Recertification Engineering
Structural and electrical recertification support for South Florida building owners, condominium associations and property managers. RAS Engineering evaluates building conditions, documents deficiencies and helps owners plan the engineering work needed to respond to their jurisdiction’s recertification requirements.
Request an Engineering Proposal. We coordinate a complimentary site visit and then provide a project-specific scope and proposal.
Who this service is for
Owners and managers who have received a building recertification notice, are preparing for a recurring inspection, or need engineering assistance with deficiencies identified in an earlier report. Requirements, building eligibility and deadlines depend on the local authority and the notice issued for your property.
What RAS can provide
Review of the notice, available building records and prior inspection reports.
Structural condition observations and evaluation of accessible building components.
Electrical recertification scope and coordination through the appropriate professionals.
Engineering reports identifying observed conditions and recommended next steps.
Repair drawings, specifications, permit-response support and construction observations when included in the engagement.
Follow-up documentation for the authority’s review after required corrective work.
The proposal identifies the inspections, access arrangements, testing and deliverables included. A site visit or engineering report does not itself constitute municipal approval; the applicable authority determines acceptance.
Our process
Review the property and notice. Share the address, building information and deadlines.
Agree on the engineering scope. We identify the structural and electrical work needed for your project.
Inspect and document conditions. Findings guide any additional investigation or repair planning.
Support corrective work and reporting. Required repairs and follow-up services are defined for the property.
What to provide
Send the recertification notice, property address, building age if known, prior structural and electrical reports, available drawings, access contacts and any current repair proposals. Describe active leaks, cracking, spalling or other concerns.
Recertification, milestone inspections and reserve studies
These services have different purposes. Use our recertification notice preparation guide for a document checklist.
